Abstract

|
Potentilla chinensis is a well known herbal medicine showing anteritis, anti-poisonous activity. During the phytochemical study of Potentilla chinensis, three ursane type triterpenes were isolated from the ethyl acetate extract of Potentilla chinensis. Their structures were elucidated as ursolic acid (1), 2a,3a-dihydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid (2), 2a,3a,19a-trihydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid (3). They will be evaluated for the biological activity of Potentilla chinensis.
